WEINS Auto Group (Pronounced "Waynes"), established in 1973 as the Don Valley Automotive Group, an extension of the Japanese business, Yokohama Toyopet. Since then, we have grown into one of Canada's largest and most prominent groups, running 15 dealerships across Ontario and employing 1,200 people group-wide.
WEINS is an acronym for West, East, Information, North, and South. With operations in the Western and Northern hemispheres (Canada) and in the Eastern and Southern Hemispheres (Japan), WEINS centred on the ideal of Information. Information is at the center of everything we do, whether it be information regarding business operations, vehicles, or finance and leasing for our customers. As we continue to grow and the automotive industry evolves, we look towards Innovation, Improvement, and Inspiration as core ideals for our Automotive Group to be centred around as we move towards the future.
With the four cardinal directions and Information being the central principle for WEINS, we look forward to our continued growth and that of our customers, brands, employees, and community partners.
The direction that the sun appears to go towards and representative of continuous progress and abundance. With operations in Canada, WEINS Auto Group’s operations in the western hemisphere account for over 26,000 vehicles sold annually, employs more than 1,200 persons, and services hundreds of thousands of vehicles annually. Our “customers first” philosophy has helped us establish a very positive reputation amongst our customers and has allowed us to continue our growth into the future. Weins Auto Group’s Canadian operations started in 1973 with the founding of Don Valley North Toyota.
The direction associated with new days and representative of hopefulness. Through teamwork, personal discipline, quality, and valuing all suggestions for improvement, WEINS Auto Group consistently evolves as a business to serve its customers better, and to provides a more fulfilling employment experience and rewarding relationships.
The direction associated with introspection, and guiding principles. WEINS Auto Group has embodied the phrase “Find Your Way” in our processes and procedures. As an ISO 9001 certified business, WEINS Auto Group abides by international standards for quality management to meet customer and regulatory requirements. Along with our core values, this has provided the Weins Auto Group with a “True North” as our direction.
The direction associated with opportunity and exploration. After decades of being in business, WEINS Auto Group has refused to rest on its laurels and grow stagnant. Embodying the spirit of “Kaizen,” or continuous improvement, WEINS Auto Group continues to pursue exciting new opportunities in mobility, vehicle ownership, and service.
